My music playing began when I was a teenager. I passed examinations in Pianoforte Playing with the London College of Music up to Higher Senior, achieving a First-Class Certificate with the final exam. I also achieved 0 level music. I taught myself to play the guitar when a teenager and it was then when I started to perform singing with guitar accompaniment. I also had classical guitar playing instruction. When I studied to be a primary school teacher music was my subsidiary subject. I taught music lessons to children and I held after school guitar lessons. In more recent years I learnt the banjo, ukulele and banjolele. I mostly play stringed instruments and keyboard, but I also play tongue drums, recorder, tin whistle and I'm learning the flute. I have played in a duo called Gemini Two with a double bassist when a variety of instruments were played-double bass, electronic keyboard, guitar, banjo with our accompanying voices. I am now achieving Open University on going courses in music. I am also composing my own songs - both lyrics and music.
Song Recordings
I have recorded myself singing and playing the guitar. Below are some of those recordings - my own compositions as well as those composed by others. My own compositions are derived from what inspires me, such as walking, wildlife and the countryside.
